MDA operates several websites for specific campaigns or projects including;
CampMDA, a week-long respite program for members of the MD community. CampMDA has now been conducted 103 times with participants coming from every Australian State and Territory. Over the life of CampMDA we have even had participants come from overseas.
ChallengeMD! is a fundraising awareness program where participants take on extreme challenges both domestically and overseas. The first ChallengeMD! saw MDA Executive Director lead a team of 28 participants cycling from North to South Vietnam. This was followed by ChallengeMD! Cambodia 2007, ChallengeMD! China 2008. In 2009 cycling was replaced with trekking with ChallengeMD! Nepal 2009, followed by the grueling ChallengeMD! Mont Blanc 2011. An even more demanding ChallengeMD! Morocco 2013. ChallengeMD! Goldfields 2016 and ChallengeMD! Goldfields 2017 has seen the ChallengeMD! series raise in excess of $2.3 million since inception.
Melbourne’s Delights is a photographic book and exhibition conceived by MDA Executive Director Boris M Struk and features images of Melbourne, the world’s most liveable city, captured by its Community Leaders.
My Diverse Australia is the sequel to the very successful Melbourne’s Delights Exhibition. The contributing photographers come from an eclectic arts, music, theatre, fashion and film background and offer a unique perspective of this amazing country of ours – Australia.
Ryan’s Cafe is a site fully designed and maintained by Ryan Struk, the son of MDA Executive Director Boris M Struk. Ryan provides insight into living with DMD and provides answers to questions frequently asked of him.
Wheelies’ Rest comprises two MDA owned properties one based in Philip Island and the other at Axe Creek. Both properties are fully wheelchair accessible and used by MDA to offer respite to members of the MD community. The properties are also rented to external agencies with the income helping to cover operating and maintenance costs.
