Marvelous Music for Muscular Dystrophy

An enduring partnership has developed with Orchestra Victoria, NGV International and Muscular Dystrophy which saw the OV perform to a capacity audience in The Great Hall, exceeding 500 people.

Maestro Marko Letonja led Orchestra Victoria on a journey of music which enthralled members of the audience in what could only be described as a unique and marvelos venue. The musical journey took the audience through the Americas including Aaron Copland’s Clarinet Concerto, George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Alberto Ginastera’s Dances from Estancia.

The audience also heard about the devastating effects that Muscular Dystrophy has on those people affected by MD and how the MDA provides relevant and reliable support to the MD community while also underpinning Clinical and Scientific Research. The synergy between OV, NGV and MDA provides an unparalleled opportunity to Make a Difference.

MD appreciates this opportunity to partner with such respected organisations and looks forward to the 2008 season.
