ChallengeMD! 2008 China
Since inception of ChallengeMD! with the Ride through Vietnam in 2006, followed by Cambodia in 2007 and having just returned from China, riders have generated over $1 Million for MDA.
This is a remarkable effort in fundraising terms and sheer physical effort in riding through harsh conditions of heat, humidity and often roads that are not fit for riding upon.
The most recent ChallengeMD! Ride saw ten riders pedal through Southern China to Guiling. A most beautiful part of China with friendly natives and eclectic range of food eased the daily aches and pains experienced by the riders.
MDA Execuitve Director Boris M Struk led the ChallengeMD! Team comprising veterans of our first Ride through Vietnam – Katrina Bugeja, Joanne Dexter and Margaret Romeo, with first time Riders – Lyn & Cynthia Sporn, Tanya O’Connor, Michael & Julia Matuschka and Kellie U’Ren.
MDA appreciates the support of Riders, Donors and Sponsors who have contributed to the magnificent total of $1 million. It’s not too late to show your support of the riders’ achievements so consider sponsoring a rider to increase that much needed total, being dedicated to research at the National Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre (NMDRC).
Thank you to all participants for making the Ride a huge success.
