MDA warmly welcomes Jan Chisholm as CEO
Jan Chisholm has spent her entire career working in the not-for-profit sector championing worthy causes, first in her native UK and, for the past 20 years, here in Australia.
Most recently, Jan was CEO at the Royal Women’s Hospital Foundation in Melbourne and also spent five years at Vision Australia supporting people who are blind or have low vision.
“I’m proud and honoured to take up the position of CEO of Muscular Dystrophy Australia.
It is inspiring to lead an organisation that has a track record of delivering excellence in information, support services and quality of life for Australians of all ages with muscular dystrophy and their families”, says Jan.
Jan’s main objective in the coming months will be to develop a new strategic plan, which will be built by listening to the voices of the Australian muscular dystrophy community thereby allowing MDA to design best practice and tailored services delivery.
“My vision is to lead Muscular Dystrophy Australia to offer the services, supports and research innovation that the muscular dystrophy community feels are most important. I look forward to working alongside the community, amplifying their voices and delivering the outcomes they ask of us to provide; quality of life today and research breakthroughs tomorrow” concludes Jan.
Jan brings to MDA her enthusiasm, energy and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for people of all ages and all abilities and encourages the community to get in touch and share their ideas and feedback at any time.
