MDA provides up-to-date, expert information. We have translations available in more than 17 languages, making it easier for the family to discuss the diagnosis of Muscular Dystrophy with the extended family members, often living overseas.

“The Home of MDA”, this internet presence is our main method of disseminating information on MD and has been so since 1995 when we created the first world-wide internet site.

This information is also very important when traveling overseas, when you need to ensure that medical practitioners understand the condition in their mother tongue. We have disorder specific information that is written in a way the ‘lay person’ can understand. With request from family, teachers, aides, GP’s and from the various allied health professionals that may be treating the client, our information resources are extensive and we support clients and their families all over Australia, with positive and appreciated feedback.
