Sunday January 16th – After a morning pick up at Moonee Ponds and Narre Warren a stop at Traralgon for lunch was in order.  After arrival at camp there were room allocations, introductions and an evening movie.

Monday January 17th – A scavenger hunt and an obstacle course kept people entertained in the morning.  The afternoon consisted of orienteering and canoeing.  In the evening we all had free time and enjoyed the evening to ourselves.

Tuesday January 18th – A fun activity of card making was held in the morning by Bridget.  The swimming pool became popular in the afternoon as the sun was warm.  Skits were held in the evening and as usual they entertained everybody.

Wednesday January 19th – Soap was made in the morning which proved to be a big hit and back into the pool for the afternoon.  Following this the flying fox and the big swing amused some campers.  Heidi and Lisa had there trivia questions in the evening which proved to be lots of fun.

Thursday January 20th – After morning tea we headed towards the RAAF Base in Sale where Boris had organised a surprise for campers and cares. A silver service BBQ with RAAF personnel in mess whites followed by by a tour of the helicopters, fire trucks and the Roulettes provided an amazing airshow for us.  They were all great to see in action and the lunch was sensational.  It was a silver service meal which included steak.  What a treat.  We had a karaoke sing along in the evening.  This was lots of good fun.

Friday January 21st – Well as per usual we packed up, left camp and headed home.  After a short stop at Traralgon for lunch we eventually made it to our drop off points in time.  Yet another successful summer camp.

The weather was kind to us and the carers and campers were fantastic.

The RAAF Base was sensational.  The effort that the staff there went to look after us was fantastic.

ŸOverall, it seems that summer camp cannot be competed with.  It always, in my book, is the best camp of the year.
