9TH July – 12th July, 2002
Sunnystones Bacchus Marsh
Tim Mc Neill
Tuesday 9th July – After meeting at Moonee Ponds we arrived at the Sunnystones Country Retreat in the afternoon. Being a winter camp it was quite a small group, but we all enjoyed having such a small group. After we unpacked, we started on a large puzzle until dinner imte. After dinner some went for a short walk around the grounds, but returned soon after, cold and red-nosed despite their warm clothes. We watched a video and munched on popcorn before having an early night.
Wednesday 10th July – Today everyone had a relaxing day. We played board games, card games and read books etc. After dinner we again settled down again for more popcorn and another movie.
Thursday 11th July –. Today we enjoyed a number of art and craft activities. We made pom poms which took hours. We also did some collage and painiting. Tonight was the party night, quite different without the usual karaoke. Nevertheless it turned out to be a great night, full of music and junk food.
Friday 12th July –Everyone slept in after the late night. After brunch we cleaned up, packed and headed for home.
The whole camp, even though it was freezing, it had a great atmosphere.
