Wednesday 9th July – We all met at 10.30am at the Travelodge, Southbank.  From here an Orienteering session was done in camper/carer teams.  It was a tour of the city with landmarks needing to be found.  Following lunch a pizza lunch at Southbank we did a tour of the Arts Centre which proved to be very interesting.  After a late afternoon check-in we went to Sante’ at the Casino complex for a buffet dinner.  It was really yummy.  We then split up into two groups to go and see a movie at Village Crown.  One group went to see Bruce Almighty and the other to see Daddy Day Care.

Thursday 10th July – After a yummy cooked buffet breakfast we all headed off to the zoo for the day.  We caught the train there and that was an expedition on its own.  The zoo was fantastic with so much to see and do.  Vanessa Amorosi joined us for about an hour and had some snaps taken with the guys. She was a good fun kind of girl to meet.  Back onto the train in the afternoon to head back to the hotel for a rest before we headed off to dinner.  We went back to Sante for dinner which again was yummy.  After dinner we all headed back to the breakfast room in the hotel to participate in some good fun activities organised by Emma.

Friday 11th July – We walked up to IMAX after breakfast to see a 12.00pm session of ‘Space’.  It was in 3D and really good.  We then walked back to the hotel for a 2.00pm pick up.  We were running a little late as we got stuck with the trains so we had everyone waiting for us when we got back.  We al had a great time on Camp.

Meeting Vanessa Amorosi at the zoo was exciting.

ŸStaying in the heart of the city was fantastic.  Everything seemed to be accessible from where we were.  All was within walking distance or train distance.

The games we played on Thursday evening were great fun and well organised. Emma did a great job with them.

Hopefully we get to go to the Travelodge again.  It was a fantastic location and well suited to all our needs.
